The company estimates its wastewater discharges at 25 m3 per day. At present, it has a 30 m3 tank in which pH is regulated before being disposed of by an external service provider. These waters contain chemical agents which, in the medium or long term, have carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic effects, known as CMR agents. To remedy this situation and protect the health of its employees, our customer wishes to treat its cleaning water so that it can be discharged in compliance with regulations, thereby reducing the concentration of toxic products.
NISKAE treatment for industrial laundry wastewater
Our customer, an industrial laundry, is located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. Laundry operations generate micropollutants such as phthalates, phenols, heavy metals, solvents and surfactants. Very often, wastewater treatment plants are not adapted to the treatment of these particular molecules, which then end up in the environment. As a result, our customer called on our expertise to find an environmentally-friendly solution for the wastewater from their washing facilities.
Wastewater with high concentrations of chemicals
Development of a specific physico-chemical treatment for laundry effluents
Our NISKAE team has the capacity to develop a mono-reactive product capable of targeting the pollutants present in our customer’s wastewater. To do this, our laboratory experts analyze various samples supplied by the customer to obtain data on concentrations, pH and other indicators.
These analyses highlight Iron and Zinc levels, with Iron concentrations reaching 0.40 mg/L and Zinc 0.10 mg/L. After using the treatment developed specifically for our customer, these concentrations drop drastically to be considered almost zero. What’s more, the pH is stabilized, and the effluent remains neutral.
As for the visual aspect, from a gray, cloudy solution, we succeed in obtaining a clear, almost totally translucent solution with perfectly sedimented sludge.

For economical and responsible management
Our NISKAE technology offers multiple benefits. In addition to enabling our customers to comply with standards and regulations for the discharge of their wastewater, this solution also generates significant savings in the management of polluted water. Being able to discharge wastewater without having to store it also ensures that operators are less exposed to the chemical agents contained in effluent.
